The same day ACH (Automated Clearing House) processing system enables financial institutions to settle debit and credit transactions quickly, often within hours. However, there are certain conditions that must be met in order for these entries to be processed and settled on the same day.

To begin with, all of the above conditions must be met, including an effective entry date field in the batch header record that does not contain a future date, receipt of the input file by the same day submittal deadline, and a total value of no more than $25,000 or $2,500 for RCK and XCK. Additionally, the entry class code must be non-IAT (International ACH Transaction) or ENR (Entry Reversal).

When it comes to forward entries, there are specific requirements that must be met in order for them to be processed and settled same day. These include adhering to the standard batch and file rejection procedures and not exceeding the maximum allowed values.
